About
My name is David James. I am originally from South Carolina, though I have travelled and lived abroad for many years (Italy, Afghanistan, Russia, and Wales). I currently reside in northern Italy. I recently finished a Master’s Degree in Ancient History/Classics at Swansea University in Wales.
I intend this website to give me more of an outlet for short topical essays, and to serve as a forum for expressing some ideas about philosophy, history, and literature, as well as other issues that will draw my occasional attention when I find time to put them into writing. I would very much like to hear comments, or discussion, from readers.
Thanks and enjoy.
ciao, Dave. it was fast! bravissimo!
Hail, Tarrier of Truth and Tortellini. May rationalist spears be ever whetted by the sharpness of their wit!
Hello David, judging from yr historical/philosophical bent you may be interested to read a recent book called BEFORE THE DELUSION by Wm Gleeson – published in UK but listed on Amazon etc. It looks a little Dan Brownish – but isn’t – but contains impressive research of pre-Christian literary and archaeological records of ‘technology’ and the origins of religion.
Sounds odd I know but trust me – it’s worth a look
cheers, Ross
